《 COMMENT 》
1990〜2003年、COMME des GARCONS HOMMEのデザインを手がけた田中啓一氏のプロダクト、通称 “田中オム”です。
AD1994
これまで数多くの田中オムを見てきましたが、その中でも初見のデザイン。
前後の胸元から袖の上部で切り替えされた、極めて珍しいパターンワークのシャツです。
少し毒の効いたようなマルチストライプを全体にあしらいつつ、身頃は柄の方向を変えることでリズムと違和感を生み出しており、
一見整っているのに、どこか掴みどころのない佇まいが印象的。
ベージュからグレイッシュピンクの淡いカラーリングで統一され、落ち着いた表情の中にもしっかりと違和感が漂うデザインに仕上がっています。
田中オム特有な空気を纏うような、柔らかなゆとりのあるシルエット。
誰もが実感できる程良いゆとりとジャストなサイズバランスの共存。
なぜか多くの人に“妙にしっくりくる”と感じさせる”完成されたシルエット”。
現代のファッションにハマるだけではなく、今後も不動であり普遍的な服としてあり続けるのだと、そう実感させてくれる服です。

A product from Keiichi Tanaka, who designed for COMME des GARÇONS HOMME from 1990 to 2003, commonly referred to as “Tanaka HOMME.”
Having seen many Tanaka HOMME pieces, this is the first time I have come across such a design.
A highly unusual shirt with panels switched from the chest front and back to the upper sleeves.
Features slightly provocative multi-stripes throughout.
The body changes stripe direction, creating rhythm and a subtle sense of dissonance.
At first glance it looks orderly, yet it carries an elusive, hard-to-define presence.
Unified in soft beige and grayish pink tones, the design conveys calmness while still retaining an intentional sense of unease.
Soft, relaxed silhouette that feels as if it carries air, characteristic of Tanaka HOMME.
Strikes a rare balance of ease and precise sizing, producing a “perfected silhouette” that somehow feels natural on many wearers.
Not only fitting seamlessly into modern fashion, but also destined to remain a timeless, universal garment.
