AD1993 COMME des GARÇONS HOMME スラックス です。
今でも根強く人気が高い田中啓一氏がデザイナーを務めていた頃のプロダクト。
人気の高さから「田中オム」と名付けられています。
一般的なHOMMEとブランドネームは同じですが、差別化を図るために立てた別ライン。
後の COMME des GARÇONS HOMME HOMME ( 通称 オムオム ) の前進ブランドです。
オムオムになる前は オムスペシャル と呼ばれ分けられています。
製作期間が短く、生産数も少ないため、数多く目にしてる私でさえ年に10着出会えたら良い方です。
特徴はほとんどのアイテムが一般的なHOMMEに比べややジャストフィットな印象。
またHOMME PLUSに似てギャルソンらしいアバンギャルドなデザインが多く見受けられます。
そんな中でもこちらは比較的シンプルなデザインのスラックスです。
生地は上質なウールギャバジン。
薄手で高密度な織りによる綺麗なドレープ、光沢感が上品な印象の生地です。
そろそろオーバーサイズからの脱却を図ろうという方には特におすすめしたいボトムスです。
極端に細すぎずとてもバランスの良いシルエット。
ダークトーンで幅広いトップスと相性が良くヘビロテ間違えなしです。
AD1993 COMME des GARÇONS HOMME trousers.
This piece was designed during the period when Keiichi Tanaka, whose popularity remains strong to this day, was at the helm. Due to its high demand, this line is often referred to as “Tanaka Homme.”
Although the brand name is the same as the general HOMME line, this was established as a separate line for differentiation. It served as a precursor to COMME des GARÇONS HOMME HOMME (commonly known as Homme Homme). Before becoming Homme Homme, it was known as Homme Special.
Production was limited and the run was short, so even someone like me, who sees many items, might encounter only about 10 pieces a year.
Most items from this line tend to have a slightly more fitted silhouette compared to standard HOMME. Many designs, similar to HOMME PLUS, feature the avant-garde aesthetic characteristic of Comme des Garçons.
This pair, however, is relatively simple in design. Crafted from high-quality wool gabardine, the fabric is lightweight yet densely woven, giving it a refined drape and subtle sheen.
Ideal for those looking to move away from oversized silhouettes, these trousers offer a well-balanced shape that is neither too narrow nor too extreme. The dark tone makes them versatile and easy to coordinate with a wide range of tops, perfect for frequent wear.

There is a small imperfection near the left pocket. Also, this is a well-preserved piece with only minimal signs of wear, remaining in excellent condition for continued use.
Recommended for those who are accustomed to and appreciative of the unique charm of vintage clothing.
